CODATA-ICSTI Portal Project

CODATA and ICSTI Executive Committees have approved the development of a web portal on Permanent Access to Scientific Information Resources. A requirement specification document and a description of the work roles and activities have been developed. All that remains is making it real.

As a result of the recent USNC CODATA Archiving Working Group meeting, the NSF Research Coordination Networks in Biological Sciences (RCN) Program is a potential source of portal funding for the initial start-up phase. Using a template found on the web, a portal proposal has been started in CODATA-ICSTI Portal Proposal NSF DRAFT. There are several sections that need work, and some that don't apply. Other notes and questions regarding the proposal are on the proposal "discussion" page.
