Like most living things, I, Grace Davis, struggle for the light.

My webpage: http://gracedavis.typepad.com/ A mommy/political/snarky/menopausal blog. As with all the well meaning mommy bloggers, I cuss way too much.

Though I have a decidedly liberal orientation, a number of my blog readers are political and/or social conservatives. Of all the blessings offered by the blogosphere, this has been the most gratifying. My dialogues with these bloggers have been civilized and there has been ardent listening on both sides. This, as we all know, is not the norm with online and IRL dialogue. But how can we make it so? What makes it work for my conservative friends/The Loyal Opposition and me? How does it all break down?

"Being nice" what does that mean? Being nice - intellectually dishonest?

From the Well, some of the 'not nice' were the best writers.
