OrcmidArrives

From Praxis101Wiki

May 10, 2004: I have successfully registered, set preferences, and edited a page. That seems like an auspicious arrival for Orcmid. I'm now going back into my day. Nice little groundbreaking ceremony, now we will hear a few tunes from the high-school pep band.

---

I find it discouraging to introduce myself over and over again on wikis, so you can find more about me by exploring my Orcmid Sightings page. There's more than you ever wanted to know about me revealed somewhat in my main blog, Orcmid's Lair. The related blog, Professor von Clueless in the BlunderDome, is meant to be more geekie and focused on the technical aspects of open-system trustworthiness as I am addressing them in my M.Sc in IT dissertation project. BillAnderson and I co-author the hyper-geekie blog, Numbering Peano.

I always use "orcmid" wherever I go, but it is difficult to have it as a handle on Wikis that insist on camel-case words. This page is named OrcmidArrives because I couldn't figure out how to make the single name work. I now see how I can do it, but I will leave that for now.

Beside sharing interest in system architecture and software engineering with BillAnderson, I am also interested in some of the topics here on the Praxis101 Wiki site, including the Ariane Flight 501 failure.

Today, I'm here out of interest in the upcoming Reflection Without Us-Them conference call and wiki discussion. I'll say more about that somewhere. Later.

Reflection Without Us-Them

I'm putting what I think I know in an Orcmid Knows entry.
